A Space Attuned to Different Rhythms of the Body

This mountain home is more than a striking piece of architecture in a scenic setting. It is a cosy, highly functional space designed in harmony with the natural rhythms of its family members—each with their own routines, needs, and ways of unwinding. We were responsible for the layout and interior design of the entire house, ensuring every corner feels intentional, comfortable, and supportive of rest.

Special attention was given to the rooms for the adult children who now live independently but visit often. The house is not a single unit—it’s a flexible, welcoming system with space for everyone.

A Spa That Respects Differences

At just 150 m², the spa zone is compact—yet every square metre is used with care. It was shaped with an understanding that each family member has distinct physiological needs and thermal preferences. The head of the household enjoys intense heat, reflected in the inclusion of a Finnish sauna. Meanwhile, other family members require gentler experiences—informing the rest of the thermal circuit.

  • Multifunctional treatment room for a full range of body, facial, and haircare treatments.

  • Combined steam and shower space—compact, efficient, and gentle.

  • Open sauna design that invites natural light to soften the atmosphere.

  • Quiet lounge area for stillness or shared time together.

Key Features and Experiences

  • Finnish sauna—high-heat, geometrically defined, designed for deep warmth.

  • Combined steam and shower room—soft, enveloping, and accessible.

  • Treatment room—versatile and welcoming, suited for both relaxation and cosmetic care.

  • Lounge area—warm lighting, soft textures, and a calming hush.

  • Mountain views—extending the sense of peace beyond the walls.

Simplicity, Intention, and Invisible Care

Everything needed is present. Everything superfluous—left out. Materials are tactile, colours are muted, and lines are soft yet clear. Light fills in gently where daylight cannot. The interior doesn’t demand attention—it supports quietly and consistently.

A Format That Lives With the Family

  • Designed for changing states—energy and fatigue, solitude and company.

  • Flexible enough to follow the family’s pace rather than set it.

  • Every solution reflects thoughtful analysis of real needs and limitations.

  • Even within a small footprint, the result is deeply coherent and complete.
