A Restaurant Where Everyone Finds Their Place

This restaurant is a special one in our portfolio. It came to life because one of our long-time clients — for whom we had previously designed a resort spa — asked us to help with the interiors of his new restaurant, under construction in the city center, on a beautiful waterfront.

The dining area was compact, but the challenge was ambitious: to create a versatile space for various guest scenarios. We approached it not as decoration, but as experience design: we studied future guests' habits, daily rhythms, surroundings, and climate — and only then began sketching.

Spaces That Follow the Guest’s Mood

We divided the main dining hall into several distinct zones, based on the guest’s state of mind. Do they want a romantic dinner by the window? A quick espresso with a laptop? A lively family celebration?

This led to a layered spatial layout: private booths with high backs for seclusion, light coffee tables for casual meetups, and generous family-style tables for gathering. All unified by soft textures, calming light, and the breezy ease of a southern coastal evening.

Context Over Square Meters

The restaurant is enclosed by near-total glazing—a gift for natural light, but a challenge for comfort. In summer: excess sun; in winter: an ambient chill. We addressed this with layered lighting, rich textiles, and a palette that subtly shifts with the time of day.

To complement the interior rhythm, we proposed transforming the accessible rooftop into a seasonal terrace—bringing a second mood: festive, open-air, and filled with music and movement.

Key Features and Experiences

  • Zoned layout – diverse seating options based on guest intention

  • Adaptive lighting – shifts gently throughout the day

  • Panoramic windows – offering a constant connection to the waterfront

  • Rooftop terrace – for summer evenings, music, and shared moments

  • Natural materials and a calming palette – creating atmosphere without theatrics

This is a restaurant where every guest finds their place — not because it tries to be everything, but because it knows how to listen.
